Lynne Lawrence

 

Lynne Lawrence is Director of Training and Schools at the Maria Montessori Training Organisation, the International Training Centre in Britain of the Association Montessori Internationale.

Born in England, Lynne also grew up in Scotland, the United States and Africa. She took the AMI training course in London in 1974, training under Hilla Patell.

Lynne has run Montessori Children's Houses for children aged 2 1/2 - 6 in England and worked with Muriel Dwyer on the "Help the Children" project in Africa. She is an international visiting examiner for AMI.

Lynne is the author of MONTESSORI READ & WRITE - A Parent's Guide to Literacy for Children (Ebury Press). Lynne narrated the documentary Montessori in Action: Learning for Life, which shows a day in a Montessori Children's House featuring its children, from 2 1/2 - 6 years old.

Lynne is married and has two young sons who both attend Montessori schools.
