Remembering Maria Montessori

Today we take a moment to remember Maria Montessori. On May 6, 1952, "Maria Montessori went on from this life," as her son Mario wrote. Touched by the unanimous feeling of responsibility expressed by the Montessori community, with a deep dedication to further the work, Mario observed that it had always been Maria Montessori’s mission "to fight for the soul of the child," which he saw as her ultimate bequest. In 2024, around the world, many share Maria Montessori’s glorious vision and work with incessant inspiration and deep commitment.
